Guy Beatty, age 77, of Waco, Tx, passed away at Providence Hospital on February 19, 2021.

Alford Guy Beatty, Jr. was born May 24, 1943 in Waco, Tx, to Alford Guy Beatty, Sr. and Oma (Johnson) Beatty.

Guy was an Eagle Boy Scout in Troup 139 in Bellmead, Texas. He attended La Vega Schools and graduated high school in 1961. Guy served six years in the National Guard. He married Sandra Beth Hamilton in 1965 and they had four children. Guy and Sandra were divorced in 1985 and he married Patsy Jo Cate Creech on June 26, 1986.

Both Guy and Patsy were interested in the genealogy of their families and spent several years traveling all over the United States doing research on their family’s tree. They also took lots of pictures of tombstones and posted them on Find-A-Grave.

Guy worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 43 years as a repeater man before retiring in 1999. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Beallmead, Tx, on October 21, 1951. He moved his membership to the First Baptist Church of Waco in 1986 and to Lake Limestone Baptist Church in 1999. Guy was a Mason in the Baylor Lodge. He was the WM in the Thornton Lodge #486 in 2002. He was also a Knight Templar, and a member of Karem Temple.

Guy was preceded in death by his father in 1983, his mother in 1997 and a daughter Sarah Beatty in 1972.

He is survived by wife Patsy; children Christopher Beatty, Philip Beatty and wife Melanie and Timothy Beatty and late wife Korinee; sister Betty Parks; grandchildren Korey Beatty and wife Jasmine, Kyle Beatty and wife Kortney, Morgan Garr and husband Ryan, Alexander Beatty, Taylor Beatty, Brittney Beatty, Aaron Beatty and Amanda Beatty; Great Grandchildren Kyran, Eli, Kolt, Colton, Michelle, Emma and Elizabeth; four Step Children, Gary Creech and wife Teresa of Longmont, CO, Terry Keener and husband Tom of Breckenridge, Tx, Karen Kuhns and husband Steve of Arlington, Tx, and Bradley Creech and wife Lisa of Plano, Tx; eight step-grandchildren Kelly Creech Brown, Katie Stetson and husband Ken, Twins Tim and Tom Creech and his wife Stephany, Brooke Schaefer, Morgan Barton and husband Matt, Jacqueline Beer and husband Brandon and Jonathan Creech; four step great-grandchildren, Maggie Creech, Zack Brown, Judson Barton and Aurora Beer and one step great-great-grandchild Audreykate Mitchell.

Visitation: Thursday, February 25, 2021 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. Services to follow at 11:00am.
