Anita Louise Sandles

Anita Louise Sandles, 79, of Waco passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 in Hewitt. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, January 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Waco Memorial Funeral Home.

Anita was born July 15, 1944, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She attended an all-girls’ Catholic school in Saint Paul. She later went back to the classroom and in 2001 proudly obtained her GED. In November of 1988, she married George Sandles. They enjoyed nearly 30 years together until his passing in 2018.

Anita enjoyed meeting people and making friends. She never met a stranger. Her family was the most important thing to her, she enjoyed anything that meant being with her children and grandchildren.

Anita was a collector of coffee mugs. Anytime she, her family or her friends would travel her souvenir would always be a coffee mug. She loved to display those mugs on the wall for all to see.

Anita was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Milner Post; son-in-law, Todd Klippel; and several of her siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Klippel; daughter, Anita Ashcraft and her husband, David Pinyerd; grandson, Anthony Van Rhee, his wife, Amber and their children, Emma and Ethan; granddaughter, Michelle Nyquist, her husband, Shawn and their son, Evan; grandson, Jeffrey Klippel; granddaughter, Ashley Schrock, her husband, Josh and their children, Jade and Josh Schrock II; granddaughter, Taylor Carter; granddaughter, Kayla Miller, her husband, AJ Wills and their son, Ezra Tolbert; great granddaughter, Willo Baker and her family; sisters, Barbara Carlson and Claudia Newsom; nieces and nephews, Alex Carlson and spouse, Casey, Joshua Carlson and spouse, Mackenzie, Emily Cotner (Carlson) and spouse, Brittany; great nephews, Landon Carlson and Asher Carlson; and great niece, Aiva Carlson.
