Betty Joyce Pack Eyerley, formerly of Austin, TX, met her heavenly father January 3, 2023, at the age of 91, in Waco, TX.
Betty was born May 12, 1931, in Waco, to Charles Leroy “Skinny” Pack and Eva Marie Rylas Pack. She grew up in Waco and attended Waco High, where she enjoyed playing the saxophone.
On September 11, 1950, she married her high school sweetheart, Moses Darwin “M.D.” Eyerley.
Along with raising her four daughters, Betty helped M.D. run their family business, and later worked for several Federal agencies. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school, and working as a church receptionist for Hyde Park Baptist Church.
Betty had a fun, quirky sense of humor. She participated in ballroom dancing, loved working crossword puzzles, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn fan. But what she loved most of all was being with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Pappas and husband, Tom, Connie Harris and husband, Hal, Theresa Bonnet and husband, Rusty, and Brenda Banks and fiancé, Duwain Moody. Betty was known as Meemo by her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express a special thank you to her private caretaker Vicki Sedillo, Elaine Spann with Visiting Angels, and the staff at Providence Village.
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11
