Betty Jo Williams

Betty Jo Oleta Hambrick Williams, 89, of Woodway passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be Friday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 12:00 PM.

Betty was born December 6, 1933 in Abilene, Texas to the late Harriett Eurtha (Brown) and Wesley Lee Hambrick and was the oldest of three children. She met and married the love of her life, James Dolan "Don" Williams in Abilene and together they had three children: Charlotte, JD and Donna.

The family moved to Austin where Don started a Borden Dairy plant and Betty cared for their children. After Austin and when their kids were grown, Borden Dairy took them to the Houston area where Betty and Don lived until he bought his own Franchise with Lawson Products. The couple then relocated to Don's hometown of Waco.

After retirement, Betty and Don bought an RV and traveled all over America as often as they could. They were a loving home to many dogs, mostly Pomeranians, and also to birds over the years.

Betty is survived by her children, Charlotte, JD and Donna as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Charles Wesley Hambrick and  Rosa Lee Royals.
