Bobbie Mangum

Bobbie Lynn Kirk Mangum went to be with our Lord on January 19, 2022. Bobbie was born in McGregor, Texas to Thelma and Clyde Kirk. She was raised in Waco and recalled with fond memories attending South Junior High School. She married James William Mangum on January 10, 1944 at First Baptist Church in Waco. A devoted Air Force officer’s wife for sixty-seven years, she and James were stationed at exciting places around the world including Germany, Indonesia, Hawaii and numerous bases in the states. They returned to Texas when James retired from the military in 1975. Together, they raised four lovely daughters, committed faithful service to the Lord, and epitomized the very best of the American Dream.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Clyde Kirk; sister, Neutrine Fowler and brother-in-law, Wiley; brother, CB Kirk and sister-in-law, Jane; brother-in-law, Ronald Threadgill; husband, James Mangum; and daughter, Judy Ann Wilks.

She is survived by her sister, Billie Threadgill of Cedar Park; daughters, Barbara Westmoreland and husband, Boyce of Waco; Jo Raher and husband, Bill of Haslet; Donna Howe and husband, Tom of San Antonio; and son-in-law George Wilks of Schertz.

Her grandchildren are Jamie Glinski and husband, Robert of Waco; Jody Westmoreland and wife, Tabitha of Hatton, ND; Kimberly Dennis and husband, Chris of Cibolo; Kevin Wilks of Schertz; Brian Raher and wife, Pam of Haslet; Sarah Howe and husband, Gary Fletcher of San Antonio; Thomas Howe and partner, Ed Dodd of Austin.

Great-grandchildren include Reagan Glinski and fiancé, Hannah Estes, Rori Glinski, Sean Glinski and wife, Amy; Bailey Cordahl and husband, Tanner, Skylar and Joey Westmoreland; Halle Walker, Matthew Walker-Kalisky, Lindsey, Lori, Matthew, and Scott Dennis; Presley, Dylan, Lauren, James Fletcher, and his wife, Addison; and James, Tyler, and Mackenzie Raher. Great-great grandchildren are Brycen and Breckyn Cordahl; Ali, Sarah, and James Hood, Evelyn Glinski; and Theodore Fletcher.

She will be forever in our hearts.
