On February 5, 2021, Bobby Zane Sims, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, fell to Covid-19. He is at peace in the arms of our Lord, at age 85.
Bobby was born in Waco, Texas on May 1, 1935 to James Edwards Sims and Ethel Lou (Marshall) Sims. He attended East Waco High and continued on to Kilgore College to obtain his Watch Master’s Certification. He retired from Word Incorporated in Waco, Texas in 1991. His passions were for gardening, sports, animals, politics, western movies and sharing stories of his family. He loved to laugh and smile. He loved life. He was a Loyal American.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Edward and Ethel Lou Sims. Sisters: Evalene Sims, Gladys Franklin and Ethel Parrish Royer (Sis). Brothers: Bill Sims, Buddy Sims, Donald Sims, Marshall Sims and Edward (Sonny) Sims.
He is survived by: brother: Charles Ray Sims, Santa Maria, Ca. daughter: Bobbie Sue Sims Revels, Penelope, Tex. grandchildren: Cari Dawn Elizabeth Brown, Maize, Ks, Kasi Jo Robin Tellez, Maize, Ks. Jerdon Harold Zane Brown, Colorado. Tamara Racquel Tosh Foust, Maize, Ks. Kelsay Leah Anna Mc Knight , Columbus, Ohio. Marshall Michael Keeton Foust, Penelope, Tex. and 13 great grandchildren. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends he dearly loved.
Graveside March 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Waco Memorial Park, Robinson, Texas in the garden of Devotion. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Epilepsy Foundation.
