Cedro Riggins, Jr.

Cedro Riggins Jr., 76, of Marlin, TX passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025.

Cedro was born on August 8, 1948 to Catherine Martinez and Cedro Riggins Sr in Waco TX. After Cedro graduated from University High School he went on to serve in the US Marine Corps as a Lt. Corporal and fought in the Vietnam War. He met and married Mary Aguilar on September 30, 1972 and they were married for 52 years. Cedro and Mary went on to have two children, Monica and Anthony. He also has two children from a previous marriage, Cedro and Samantha.

Cedro worked for the VA hospitals in Waco and in Marlin for 15 years, where he continued to serve other veterans. After Cedro retired from the VA, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing video games with his grandsons.

Cedro was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Mary Riggins, children Monica Riggins, Anthony Riggins, Cedro Riggins III, Samantha LugoPrincipe (Riggins), and brother Gilbert Riggins. Grandchildren Niokolette Smith, Avant Riggins, and Angel Smith, along with other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

All services will be held at Waco Memorial Park starting with the viewing on March 11, 2025, 6PM to 8PM. Funeral services will be in the Chapel on March 12, 2025 at 11AM.

Pallbearers will be Marty Montoya, Don Stewart, Chris Riggins, Gilbert Riggins Jr., Avant Riggins, and Anthony Riggins.
