Christina "Crys" Barbara Bisson

Christina “Crys” Barbara Bisson, 49, of Apple Springs, TX, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at HCA Houston Medical Center after a long-term illness.

Christina was born on November 10, 1975, in Denison, Iowa, to Paul and Cheryl Stracke; the second of their five children.

On May 9, 2003, Christina was married to Steve Bisson, her best friend and the love of her life. Their twenty-one wonderful years together were filled with love, laughter, challenges, cherished memories, and unwavering commitment to each other.

Christina worked in both the healthcare field and the service industry, where her kindness, dedication, and vibrant personality shone brightly. In healthcare, she was compassionate and made a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients and colleagues. In the service industry, Christina’s friendly demeanor and work ethic earned her the admiration of coworkers and customers alike.

A sweet, generous, and hard-working person, Christina had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. Undoubtedly, she leaves a lasting impact on the people she encountered, and everyone she has helped. The life of the party, Christina will be remembered for her vibrant fun-loving spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.

Those lucky enough to know her will remember her as a beloved wife, mother, friend, and a source of light and warmth in their lives. Christina will be remembered for her kindness, fun-loving nature, and the profound love she gave to those around her. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Bisson; her children, Tyler Stracke, Julie Vujevich, and Mikayla Burris; her granddaughter, Aurora; her mother, Cheryl Stracke; her siblings, Tabetha Perkins, Patricia Broome, Adam Stracke, and Michael Stracke; and a large circle of friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her son, Austin Bisson and her father, Paul Stracke.

A memorial service to celebrate Christina’s life will be held, Friday, January 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Waco Memorial Funeral Home in Waco, TX. (Address: 6623 I-35, Waco, TX 76706.)
