Clydine Arthur

Gloria “Granny” Clydine Arthur of Waco, Texas leapt into the arms of her Savior on Friday morning, February 17. Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church at 800 N. New Road in Waco, Texas. Services will be live streamed for those who cannot attend.

Clydine was born on November 28, 1927, in Waco, Texas, and lived here all her life. At 93 she moved to Corpus Christi, to complete her adventure with her son Rick and his wife Kristi. Her early years in Waco were spent with her parents Scottie and Vera May Lechler. She graduated Waco High in 1947 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, Reynolds Arthur. Reynolds and Clydine were devoted parents to Donna, Debbie, and Rick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynolds, and daughter, Donna Sanders.

Clydine is survived by her daughter, Debbie Waite and husband, Tracy; son, Richard Arthur and wife, Kristi; son-in-law, Roger Sanders; 8 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Granny’s tribe of dear friends who stayed faithfully connected to her, Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, Meals on Wheels Waco, Aadi Hospice and Focused Care of Corpus Christi, Waco Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, and our angels on Earth - Mylinda Howell, Susan Branscum, Lucy Franco, Carla Trevino, Sara Martinez and Roxie Mathis for their unwavering love and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Meals on Wheels organization are recommended.
