Doreen H. Parmes, 82, a resident of Waco, passed away Saturday morning at her daughter's home in Waco, TX after a lengthy illness. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM to 7 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Graveside Services held at 3 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Waco Memorial Park.
Doreen was born March 1, 1939 in Leighton Buzzard, England to John William and Christina (Bundy) Hunt. She married Albert V. Parmes on November 2, 1965 in Northampton and they moved to the Waco area in 1969. She worked for many years as a banquet waitress at the Ridgewood Country Club before retiring. Doreen loved shopping and was passionate about reading books and loved gardening and raising flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Albert V. Parmes of Waco; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine & Leonard Allen of Waco, TX; granddaughter, Tysha Michelle Parmes of Waco, TX and great-grandson, Miquon Everett; and grandson and his wife, Christopher & Ashlye Bradshaw of Waco, TX; and great-grandchildren, Christian, Jeremiah and Adia. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law; Richard and Jenny Hunt of England; and numerous nieces and nephews.
