Dorothy Hoffman, 91, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Reverend Robert Kobler will officiate a graveside service at Waco Memorial Park, 1:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2018, interment will follow. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service in the Mausoleum Chapel at Waco Memorial Park.
Dorothy was born in Clifton to Herbert and Antonie Stoerner and grew up in Central Texas. She graduated from Waco High School. At age 16, she married Clatus G. Hoffman, while he was on furlough from World War II. They has two weeks together before Clatus returned to Europe; she would not see him for two years. They were married until his death in 1997.
Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker and a full-time wife and mother. She was active at her church, St. Mark Lutheran, and a long-time member of Lutheran Womens' Missionary League.
Survivors; daughter, Vickie Barlag and husband Tom; son, Carl Hoffman and wife Sally; grandson, David Barlag and wife Lisa and their children, Tara and Cheyanne; granddaughter, Kim Steed and her son, Ranjer and step-son Jacob and four great-great grandchildren.
