Erma Williams Sharpless, age 86, a resident of Hewitt, Texas, passed away Tuesday morning in a Temple nursing home. Born August 23, 1934 in Waco, TX, she had married Samuel G. Williams in March of 1951 and was a long-time employee of the Waco Tribune Herald. She later married C.C. Sharpless in 1981. In 1998, she retired and moved back to the Waco area to be near family. She was a member of the New Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Larry and Mike Williams and brother T.R. Taylor.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Williams and wife, Karen of Salado, Texas and her two daughters-in-law; Nila Williams of Groesbeck and Diane Williams of Axtell, TX. She leaves 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She is also survived by her two step children; Beverly Guidroz of Waco and Cliff Sharpless, Jr of Grand Prairie, TX.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 1 PM at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from noon to 1 PM at Waco Mausoleum Chapel.
