Ethel L. Walters passed from this life on May 14, 2018, with family by her side. Graveside services will be held at Waco Memorial Park on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10am with Pastor David Cozart officiating.
Ethel was born to David and Grace Terry on August 26, 1929, and graduated Waco High School in 1946. She married Robert (Bob) Walters in 1947, and they had 3 children. She worked many years with Morris Jewelers downtown and moved with them to Lake Air Mall where she stayed until its closing. She then changed directions and went to work for Dr. Roddy, MD, for several years until his retirement. After a brief retirement, Darvin’s Fine Jewelers opened and she worked there until her final retirement to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Her family and love of animals were her legacy. She loved to travel but spending holidays and time with her family was closest to her heart.
Ethel Walters was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, David O. Walters. She is survived by her daughter, Terry L. Dougherty and husband, Pat and her son, Larry D. Walters and wife, Lisa. Ethel was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was very loved and will be deeply missed by all her family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests all donations be made to Fuzzy Friends.
