George Wilson Chaudoin

George Wilson Chaudoin, Jr. (GW) passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 after his courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 19, 1947 to G W and Faye Chaudoin in San Saba, Texas.

He graduated from McGregor High School in 1967 and started his machinist apprenticeship at Precision Products and then worked for Yeager Machine shop. In 1971 he started his career at Rocketdyne/Hercules/Alliant Tech and retired in 2002.

GW loved to fish, hunt, play pool and mess around in his garage and "room". He loved his family and friends and would do most anything for them. He always had a joke to tell. He especially loved to fish and a special thank you to Don Chaudoin for arranging his last fishing trip, when he caught 14 fish!

He married Sherrie Ijams Chaudoin on July 12, 1969 and had four children, Micheline, Melanie, Michael and Robert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, GW(Shorty) and Faye Chaudoin; grandson Mason Lowry; and granddaughter, Katie Chaudoin.

He is survived by his wife Sherrie; his sister, Glenda Bellaire; daughter, Missy Lowry and husband, Derrick; daughter, Melanie Chaudoin; son Michael Chaudoin and wife, Bonnie; and son, Bobby Chaudoin and wife, Reannon Ruark; grandchildren, Mylar Walker, Landon Lowry, Hayle St. Clair, Jason Medina, Sean Chaudoin, Paul Keaton, Charlie Chaudoin, Gavin Tucker and Giada Chaudoin; as well as 6 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Friday, November 17, 2023 at 6:00 PM in the chapel at Waco Memorial Funeral Home, 6623 S. IH 35, Waco, TX 76706.
