Ire Lee Kemp passed away on July 18, 2019 in Waco, Texas after a brief stay in the hospital.
Visitation will in the Mausoleum Chapel at Waco Memorial Park from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019.
Ire Lee was born October 6, 1933 in Hamilton County, Texas to James Alvin and Olena Josephine (Kincheloe) Kemp.
Ire Lee married Melba Anne Pilgrim on May 31, 1955 in Evant, Texas. He served in the U.S Army from 1954 to1956. Ire Lee spent 39 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1995.
He enjoyed going dancing, playing guitar, fishing and working on the family property in Center City Texas. Ire Lee was preceded in death by his parents, James and Josie Kemp.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Melba, sons Randy Kemp and wife Denice of Salado, Ricky Kemp of Dallas, granddaughter, Haley Kemp of Houston, grandson, Travis Kemp and his wife, Jamie and great-grandson, Hayes Kemp of Waco.
The family would like to thank members of the First Baptist Church of Lorena, Ire Lee and Melba’s neighbors and James Bryan for all of their support during Ire Lee’s lengthy illness.
