Irene Salazar

Irene Maciel Salazar, 67 of Waco, passed away January 10, 2022. Memorial services will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Irene was born November 26, 1954 to Victoria Mata, currently of Dallas. She was raised by her grandparents, Andres and Maria H. Maciel, who preceded her in death. Irene was married to Julian Salazar, her husband of 34 years, and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Irene was lifetime resident of Waco Texas. She retired from Allergan Inc. and loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed family gatherings, couponing, bingo, and casinos.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, sons Paul Jaramillo, Jr. of Waco, and Julian Salazar, Jr. of Portage, Michigan; daughters Christina Herrera of Dallas, Maria Montoya of Waco, and Imelda Thompson and husband KT of Waco; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and her loving doggie, Lilly.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Jaramillo Jr, Julian Salazar Jr., KT Thompson, Nickolas K Jaramillo, Jonathan P Jaramillo, Marcus A Jaramillo, Aaron M Montoya, Justin D Garza, and Elijah J Salazar.
