Jerraldine Dorice Magerstadt, 90, of Decatur, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on March 13, 1931. Jerraldine graduated from High School.
She was married to Ernest Alvin Magerstadt on August 10, 1950, in Belton, Tx. Jerraldine worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company until she was married.
She was preceded in death by Ernest, her husband of 61 years, and her parents Ross Hicks and Opal Champion. She was survived by her two children, David Magerstadt of Rhome, Tx, and Tina Rawls of Independence, KS; four grandchildren, Joshua Rawls of Houston, TX, Nicole Rawls of Albuquerque, NM, Larkin Rawls of Independence, KS, and Connor Rawls of Independence, KS; two great-grandsons, and a great-granddaughter.
Jerraldine was the only child of Ross and Opal Hicks, adopted as a baby. As an adult, she reconnected with her biological siblings, Jesse Penick, Carl Penick, Ray Penick, and Dorothy Davis.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00PM, July 13, 2021 at Waco Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be at 1:00PM July 13, 2021 at Waco Memorial Chapel
