John Blackburn, Jr.

John D. Balckburn, Jr., 75 of Waco, passed away May 4, 2022 at a local nursing home. Private family services will be held at a later date.

John was born August 18, 1946 in Waco to John D. and Shirley Blackburn. He graduated from Midway High School, and received his Bachelors degree from the University of Texas in Arlington. He worked as a teacher, a postal carrier, and was in medical sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, Tamara Romano.

Those who survive John include sisters Sharon Romano and husband Mike, and Karon Surley Phelps; nephew John Surley; and nieces Nikki Oates, Christi Tharpe, and Gina Jones.
