Joseph Frank, 77, passed away on December 7th 2023 at his home with his wife by his side after his 3rd bout with cancer. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 14th, 2023 at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Joe was born May 19th, 1946 in Elmira, New York to Irving and Elizabeth Frank. Joe enlisted in the Navy in 1963 where he served until 1969 with an honorable discharge. He returned to Garland after his military service and began working at Intercontinental Manufacturing. He worked there for one year, moved on to lay brick and worked several other jobs until he ended at Texas Instruments where he worked with the team to build the cabinet to grow silicone for microchips.
He enjoyed a variety of jobs ending with owning Antiques Unique in North Dallas where he became a certified antique furniture restorationist.
He will be sorely missed by many people but especially by his wife. Joe was a caring loyal and loving husband. He a good friend, stepfather, and grandfather, and cousin.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Frank and his father Irving Frank, uncles Wallace Brooks, David Brooks, Cecil Brooks, aunts Patti Campbell and Ann Merrill.
He is survived by his wife Pamela Frank, stepson Will Dryer, and grandchildren Stormy Brooke Murphy and Gavin Lockland Dryer, as well cousins Barbara Ann Burks, Kyle Burks, Deanna and Jerry Hooper, Rocklan and Lynnley Drain, Doris and Louis Lindsay, Collin Brooks and his clan.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Faith Presbyterian and No Place Like Home Hospice for their devotion and excellence in nursing during our time of need.
Flowers and plants are accepted, as well as donations to The American Cancer Society in Joe's name.
