Lauson Clemmer, 91, of Waco, Texas, passed away of old age on February, 9th.
Lauson retired after 53 years as a Pharmacist in New Mexico and Texas. His last several professional years were spent in Waco with Lynn’s La Vega Pharmacy. A local family owned Pharmacy where he was actually part of the family. He prided himself on his long career without ever receiving a complaint to the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. A very stellar record. His one break in his career was a period of time serving in the Peace Corp.
In retirement he was passionate about travel, much of which was on his Can Am Spyder. Prior to that he was an avid motorcyclist. He had visited all 50 states and several foreign countries many of which while he served in the U.S. Navy. Lauson was a war time Veteran of the Korean War.
He enjoyed his family and friends, several of which he made through his career and eating out at local restaurants. He didn’t have trouble talking to anyone. As his daughter Heidi would say, “He would blow in like the wind, unannounced, ready to have some fun!”
He is preceded by 3 wives, and 2 biological sons, Brett and Eric. His living biological children are Shannon Bishop, spouse Dennis, Heidi Ressmann and Clay Clemmer, spouse Jennifer, whose mother was Molly Clemmer. From this union 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren were born! He also has multiple extended family with Esther (Sullins) Clemmer and Mary (Everett) Clemmer both of which became moms to all.
His last years after the passing of Mary were spent with his brother, Dean Clemmer, in Stephenville, Texas where he enjoyed his brother’s children and his nieces and nephews.
He will be missed.
