LaVerne Keinz

Laverne Keinz, age 88, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Waco.

Ursula Laverne Keinz, who everyone new as Toy, was born July 16, 1934 to Leola Alexander and Cecil Douglas.  When Toy was three years old, Bill Dorsett became her daddy and she loved him dearly. Toy graduated from Waco High School and 4 C College.  She met the love of her life, Norman Keinz and they married on November 14, 1952.  Toy and Norman where proud parents of 4 daughters Norma, Vicki, Virginia and Joann. Toy loved her family and her Church Family at Bethel Methodist Church.  She also loved working in the church nursery.  

Toy was preceded in death by her parents, Leola and Bill Dorsett; her beloved husband, Norman Keinz; daughter, Virginia Harper; her two great grandsons, Wyatt and Cash Spicer; as well as her son in law, Judd Woodruff.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Norma (Junior), Vicki (Marvin), and Joann; grandchildren, Kevin (Stacy), Erica (Andrew), Josh (Stacy), Chris, Micha (Alli), Lyndsey, Justin (Crystal), Shelby (Ben), and Tanner (Talj); and eight great-grandchildren.
