Linda Kay Bledsoe-Wilson, 80 of Waco, Texas passed away on September 7, 2021 at 6:58pm.
She was born in Waco on August 12, 1941, but grew up in the Houston area. Kay graduated from Bellaire High School and later went on to graduate with a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Houston. Kay had a passion for dancing and once was offered a position with the New York Rockettes.
On September 25, 1965 she married the love of her life Chuck Bledsoe in Houston, Texas and together they adipted a daughter in 1974.Kay was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and served on numerous committees and also as committee head. Kay has lived with her daughter and grandsons; they were her true passion in life and the light in her day.
Kay is preceded in death by both parents, a sister, and her husband Chuck Bledsoe. Kay is survived by her daughter Sharonda Johnson; her grandsons Nathan Johnson and Benjamin Johnson; her sister Sharon Maxwell; her cousin Patsy Crow and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay’s memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 1pm in Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm officiated by Pastor Brett Mills.
A private graveside will be held in Houston for her daughter and grandsons as she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Chuck at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston, Texas on Wednesday.
There are no words to describe how much Kay will be missed by her daughter and grandsons. The words for our profound feelings of loss do not exist.
