Linda Cardoso

Linda Fernandez Cardoso, of Waco, passed away on January 10, 2024. Born July 12, 1966, in Waco, Texas, Linda was the daughter of Antonio Fernandez and Sofia Fernandez Juarez. Linda was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Daniel Martinez.

Linda devoted many years of her life to serving as a correctional officer, demonstrating unwavering commitment and a strong sense of duty. Her dedication to maintaining order and ensuring the safety of others made her a respected and valued member of the correctional community.

Linda was a pillar of love and support within her family. For an incredible 42 years, she stood by the side of her beloved husband, Victor Cardoso. Their enduring partnership was a testament to the strength of their bond and the love that sustained them through the years.

Linda is survived by her husband, Victor Cardoso; son, Victor Cardoso, Jr.; daughter, Victoria Bomnskie and husband, Trent; son, Omar Cardoso and wife, Meagan; as well as the grandchildren that she absolutely adored – Sidnee, Trent, Jr., Ellie, and Ember.

She is also survived by sisters, Juanita Luzunaris and husband, Leon, Guadalupe Garcia and husband, Antonio, Lilly Rodriguez and husband, Benjamin, Dora Fernandez, Maria Sanchez and Joe Cantrell, Julia Rodriguez, Rose Fernandez, Hope Fernandez-Viruegas, Kathy Harris, Amelia Salinas and husband, Jesus; brother, Antonio (Tony) and wife, Patti; and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
