Mary Jacobs

Mary Gladys Jacobs, 87, of Eddy passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 27, 2021, at 11:30am at Waco Memorial Cemetery.

Mary was born March 8, 1934, to Oliver B. and Alpha Mae Garrett in Abbott, Texas. She graduated from Abbott High School. Mary and Kenneth Jacobs were married in 1952. They were married 45 years until Kenneth’s death in 1997.

She went on to be a supervisor at Southwestern Bell and AT&T and retired in 1991 after 33 years of service.

Mary loved sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, playing chicken foot and loved spending time with her church friends and family.

Ms. Jacobs was preceded in death by her husband, parents, only grandson Kenny Garner on March 11, 2021, 3 brothers and 4 sisters and long-time friend Jimmy Allen.

Survivors include son, Michael Jacobs and wife Lynda of Waco and daughter Jana Garner of Eddy and granddaughter, wife of grandson, Angela Garner of Lorena. Honorary family members, Joe Frerich and Shandy Eberle of Bruceville-Eddy
