Ronald Burns

Ronald Wayne Burns, 70 of Waco, passed away Wednesday June 29, 2022 in Waco Texas.

Ronald was born in Waco Texas on February 7, 1952 to parents James and Jo Burns. He attended high school in Corsicana Texas. After graduating high school he joined the United States Navy. Ron proudly served for 18 years and retired in 1993. Ron was a photographer both in and out of the Navy. He was also and avid collector of a multitude of things from watches to M&M's and anything in between. He would often take his daughter to work with him while in the Navy. She enjoyed going to work with him and looking at the photos he had taken, and seeing the process of developing the film into photographs. There were many memories of summer trips camping, swimming, and fishing. Ron had a love of music ranging from Country to Classic rock. And most of all Ron loved his dogs, they were like his children and he spoiled them rotten.

Ron was preceded in death by his stepfather Billy Davis of Valley Mills Texas. He is survived by his mother Jo Davis of Valley Mills Texas, his wife Pam Burns of Waco Texas, his siblings Peggy Sunday of Waco Texas and Randy Davis of Valley Mills Texas. His children Tina Diaz and Felicia Thomas of Gulfport Mississippi. His grandchildren Austen Diaz, Jasen Diaz, Brook Thomas, Destiny Diaz, Torance Thomas and Mackenzie of Gulfport Mississippi.

A Memorial services will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
