Rose Hagood

Rose Esther Spikes Hagood, 65, of Waco passed away Monday, November 27, 2023. Rose was born February 28, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Carl and Margaret (Scott) Spikes. Rose attended Waco public schools, graduating from Richfield High School. She earned her master’s degree in accounting from Baylor University. Rose was employed as an accountant at what is now known as JRBT in Waco.

On November 15, 1979 Rose married the love of her life, Ernest Everett Hagood. Together they raised 4 children, Vincent, Clint, Morgan, and Shannon.

Rose was known for her kindness and thoughtfulness toward everyone. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her and spending time with her grandchildren was one of her favorite things to do.

Rose also enjoyed spending time outside with her kitties. She liked to read and attend local orchestra performances and plays. She was a wonderful cook and wasn’t afraid to try new recipes. She will be deeply missed by her family that loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Eugene and Margaret Rose Spikes.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Ernest Everett Hagood; her sons, Vincent, Clint, and Morgan Hagood; her daughter, Shannon Hagood-Villarreal and husband, Armando, and their children, James and Lenora.
