Bill passed away at 11:30 PM on Sunday, December 27th - Dad was at home with his family. His wish was to pass in the beautiful home that he and his wife, Lou, had built and Dad was very much aware of his surroundings at the end. He had received Christ at a young age and was the spiritual leader to all who crossed his path. Bill and Lou loved the Lord, and our loving parents have paved the way to our Savior, and that has been our greatest blessing.
Bill had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years and had spent 15 years as Postmaster in Lorena. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lou Hood in 2016.
He is survived by his two sons; Gaylon Hood and wife, Aleene of Valley Mills, TX and Clint Hood of Valley Mills, Texas and his daughter, Reba Hood of Valley Mills, TX. He is also survived by sister, Linda Burkhart and 5 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM to 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 30th at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. Funeral Services will follow starting at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum where Bill will be laid to rest next to his wife, Lou.
The family wants to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. ''Dad lived a good life - and died a good death''
