General Manager

Josh serves as our General Manager as of September 2024. He started at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home as a Funeral Service Assistant in June 2014. Later that year, he transitioned to full-time as a pre-need counselor and began the process of becoming a licensed funeral director. In December 2015, he completed his degree in Mortuary Science from Amarillo College, and in April 2018, he graduated from the Leadership Academy through the trade association, Selected Independent Funeral Homes. 


He grew up in Waco, graduating from Waco High School in 2002. He has been a close family friend of the Baileys since 2001. After receiving his Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Baylor University, he moved to Thailand for a year where he taught English as a second language. Josh has several years of experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities in the greater Waco area.


In the Spring of 2019, he was elected to serve on the board of Selected Independent Funeral Homes and served as president of the association from 2021-2022. Locally, he served as the Chairman of the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2021 and is fluent in Spanish. He graduated from the Greater Waco Chamber's Leadership program, Class XXXV.


Josh currently serves as a Board of Trustee for the Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network, the TIF Board for the city of Waco, and the Advisory Committee of Waco Foundation’s Development of Strategic Assets (DSA).


He enjoys spending quality time with his family, especially his nephews and niece. He is a member of First Woodway Baptist Church. Some of his favorite activities include running trails in Cameron Park, playing tennis, traveling, and supporting the Baylor Bears.

Wendy started as a Funeral Director/Embalmer in February of 2023. In October of 2024, she was promoted to Location Manager for Waco Memorial Funeral Home.  

 

She attended San Antonio College where she graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science. Wendy married her husband Marc Wall on October 21, 1989, together they have their late son Marcus Wall who passed in 2004, and Michael Wall who is 18 years old; kitties, Sadie and Loki; pups, Isabella and Clemmie. 

 

Wendy is a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and serves on the Community Hospice Advisory Board. She enjoys traveling, cruising, and spending quiet time at home reading or planting flowers.

Mitch is the Sales Manager for Waco Memorial Park & Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. He has been with the company since November 2023. 


He graduated from San Jacinto College in Industrial Engineering. He and his wife Alice Foreman of 36 years share 2 children; Nicki and Ryan ages 35 and 30; and one grandson, Sylis Foreman who is 2 years old. They have two dogs they love as their own a Miniature Poodle "Woogie Bear" and a Cava-poo "Sippsi". 


He is an active member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and a Martial Arts Student and Instructor for over 20 years. He enjoys tending to his yard and fishing in his free time.

Cathy is the Office Manager for Waco Memorial Park & Funeral Home and has been since May 2023. 


Cathy was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Grady Spruce High School in 1980. In 1996, she and her husband Tim Jarvis moved to Central Texas and together they have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. 


She is an active member of River City Church and enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to travel.

Martin serves as our Superintendent of Grounds. He started with Waco Memorial Park in April of 1985 as a groundskeeper. In June 1990, he started setting grave markers. By October 1993, he was promoted to Superintendent of Grounds. 


He was born and grew up in Zacatecas, Mexico, and moved to Waco, Texas in May of 1984 when he was 18 years old. In 1987, he married Elvia Alvarez and together they have 6 children and many grandchildren. 


In his free time, Martin enjoys watching his favorite baseball team the Texas Rangers, and spending time with his loved ones. What he enjoys most about his job is assisting our family counselors with flagging and marking gravesites.

Dale Evers has been serving at Waco Memorial Funeral Home with dedication and compassion since November 20, 2024, as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. An active and engaged leader, Dale has been involved with the McGregor Lions Club (two-term president and tail twister), McGregor United Way, and the McGregor Chamber of Commerce (Chairman in 2000 and Board Member). He is also a proud member of the Crawford Masonic Lodge and McGregor First United Methodist Church, where he serves as SPRC Chairman, Administrative Board Member, Usher, and Trustee.



A lifelong Texan, Dale attended school in McGregor and Midway ISD, graduating in 1977, where he actively participated in band, the Key Club, and as editor and ad sales manager for the Panther Paw Yearbook. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from McMurry University in 1982, where he was a vibrant campus leader involved in band, Kappa Kappa Psi, Christian Life Fellowship, Ko Sari Fraternity scribe, and numerous student organizations. Dale has served on McMurry’s Alumni Board for 19 years, including three years as President, and as a Trustee and current member of the Board of Visitors. He also graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He also studied for his MBA at Baylor University.



In his personal life, Dale enjoys spending time with his two beloved dogs—Boaz, a 4-year-old pug, and Chelsea Raye, a 7-year-old beagle. A true enthusiast of life, Dale’s hobbies include gardening, electrical and home improvement projects, traveling (especially cruises), watching college basketball and football, and playing wheelchair rugby, where he also assists in tournaments. He has a unique passion for collecting and restoring vintage vacuum cleaners, winning awards for his work in Tulsa, OK, and Kansas City, MO.

Adam has been a Family Service Counselor with Waco Memorial Park since February 2024. 


He graduated from Waco High School in 2005. He is an active member of Highland Baptist Church. 


He and his wife Talon have two children, Maximus and Levi. In his free time, he enjoys playing disc golf, darts, and shooting pool with friends and family.


Adam finds great fulfillment in helping families ease the emotional and financial burdens their loved ones might face, guiding them with care and understanding.

Kenneth has been a Family Service Counselor with Waco Memorial Park since January 6, 2025. He is a native Texan and graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts. His is passionate about history and enjoys traveling, reading, exercising, and cooking.

Cherie has been a Family Service Counselor since August 2014. 


She graduated from Oglesby High School and received her Accounting Business Certificate from Central Texas College in 1981. 


She and her Husband Don have been married for 43 years and together have a son and 2 granddaughters. 


She is an active member of First Baptist Oglesby. She enjoys boating, camping, jet skiing, raising her cava-poos and most importantly spending time with her family.

Isaac is a Family Counselor with Waco Memorial Park and has been since August 2024. 


Isaac graduated in Mexico from the University of Promedac; therefore, he is bilingual. He is certified in Collaborative Leadership, Leading Effectively, and Leadership Foundations. 

He has been in the funeral and cemetery business since 2016. 


He enjoys spending time with his soulmate and children. He also enjoys spending time with friends, drag racing, hiking, traveling, and sunset drives.

Merrie "Daune" is an Administrative Assistant. She started in November 2024. 


She attended Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. She was elected Student Representative of the President's Board & Council; and a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Omega Omega-Chapter. She graduated with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Later she earned her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, with an emphasis in Psychology and Art. 


Daune moved back to central Texas in 2003 to help with the family business and to assist with ailing relatives. She met her husband, Rick Hannah of Lacy Lakeview, in 2007. She is the owner and sole proprietor of Work of Art Studios, a published and prize-winning artist specializing in Wire Jewelry Art Designs. 


She enjoys spending time with her husband and extended family, listening to a wide variety of musical genres, and taking walks and pictures in nature. She enjoys working with her hands whether it is in a creative process as in art/repairs or reviving orchids back to a healthy state. One of her daily goals is to share a smile with others.

Alonzo "Lonzo" is a groundskeeper with Waco Memorial Park and started in June of 2024. 


Lonzo graduated from Waco High School. He enjoys playing basketball, reading, and playing 2-K. He is also an active member of his local church.

Marcos has been a groundskeeper with Waco Memorial Park since June 2024. 


He is the youngest son of Jaime and Rosie Zuniga. He attended Waco High School and played on the football team and was involved in the auto tech program. He is engaged to Maria Gutierrez and together they have two children, Elena and Marcos. He attends church at Sangre del Cordero in Waco, Texas. The most important thing to him is family and enjoys spending his free time with them.
